Riddle 12897

A window, an alternate reality
It can mimic you like a shadow
This time it really does have colour
It watches you and knows your joys and woes
You may smile and it will smile
It touches you back if you run your fingers along its surface
What happens when you are not there for it to copy?
For it moves yet it is motionless
It is the only thing watching you
When you sing or dance on your own
Observing your actions when you think no one's there
And it'll do the same and you'll still think you're alone
You can stand naked in front of it
You can stare at it and see it watching
Yet you'll still think you're alone
It's only gone when you're leaving
